Marcus Chatfield

Lecturer, Undergraduate Research Coordinator

Marcus supports undergraduate scholars through all stages of the research process. He draws on his experiences in the social sciences and the humanities to connect students with resources and possibilities on campus and beyond. His Individualized Bachelor of Arts degree at Goddard College provided him with the undergraduate research opportunities that inspired his graduate work here at UF. After completing his master’s degree in the Family, Youth and Community Sciences, he worked as a research assistant at the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program and completed his doctorate in the Department of History. As a sounding board, networker, and teaching scholar, his job is to facilitate access to UFs many opportunities for undergraduate researchers.
