Who is Beyond120?

Beyond120 was formally launched in 2018 through a passion for connecting students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) with tangible, real-world experiences that help them transpose the relevance of their degree with their future professions. Beyond120 was founded on the principle that a CLAS degree provides students with adaptable, interdisciplinary skills that prepare them for a rapidly changing world. The program enhances this strength by equipping students with experiential learning opportunities, professional development, and career connections to navigate diverse career paths with confidence.

Starting with a curriculum coordinator and internship coordinator and a single professional development course, Beyond120 quickly expanded to offering 18 courses within only five academic years. Our team has grown to 11 staff and faculty members and encompasses the core student pillars of internships, global engagement, and research, as well as emphasizing partner and employer engagement, providing experiential student advising, and supporting faculty experiential learning initiatives. Our opportunities also support pre-health and pre-law students as they undergo unique developmental challenges in their undergraduate experiences, as well as take students on day- and week-long excursions to meet potential employers, network with alumni, and learn about holistic career landscapes in their field(s) of interest.

It takes 120 credit hours to earn your degree, but there are infinite ways to navigate your college journey and prepare for life beyond graduation.
